Product life-cycle and environment
Kibano offers you the option to use both ordinary batteries as well as rechargeable, this will guarantee you a versatile and limitless life-span of the product. We in Kibano recommends using resource friendly rechargeable batteries for your electronic products. Rechargeables and other batteries needs to be discarded correctly when their life-span is over.
The Kibano is designed to be like your traditional books, with the same storable value. Once you are done listening you place it on your bookshelf along with your other books, or you can lend it out to friends and family. For long time storage its recommended to remove the batteries to prevent battery leakage.
The Kibano is produced in compliant with the RoHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances). Guaranteeing that the amount of lead and other heavy-metals is minimal/not present in the circuit board and components. As with all electronics, some environmental substances still don't have any alternatives in some components. This means that when you want to discard a Kibano it has to be collected and recycled via the collection system for electronics, in most cases this is the shops who sell electronics.
